Welcome New MS Teachers

The Middle School of Piedmont is excited to have several new faculty members join us this school year.  Each of them brings unique talents and abilities that are great additions to our faculty.

English Language Arts Department  

Courtney Arnold is a recent Oklahoma State University graduated and is teaching 7th grade and helping coach cross country.

Elizabeth Wustrack is a Piedmont Schools alumni and has taught English for several years, most recently in Putnam City.  

Jared Keith came to us from Western Heights School District and is teaching 7th and 8th grade and helping with the drama club.

Mathematics Department

Ashley Daubenspeck joined us from Mustang North High School and is teaching 7th grade Math and has a5-month-old baby boy.  

Mandy MaKeever is a Colorado State graduate and joined us from Texas and is teaching 8th grade math and coaching.

Ryan Burcham is returning to Piedmont from Putnam City North and is teaching 7th and 8th grade Math and LEAP and coaching.

Science Department:

Chris Turner who return to MSP this year after long-term substitute teaching for us last year.  Chris is a Baylor graduate and former military.

George Knapp came to us from Burns Flat Schools and recently moved his family from Clinton to Piedmont. Both Mr. Turner and Mr. Knapp are teaching 8th grade Science.

History Department:

Hunter Smith who recently completed his time in the military and is teaching 7th grade Geography and coaching.  

Chris Sanbongi is a University of Oklahoma graduate and comes to us from Moore to teach 8th grade US History and he coaches.

Andrew Willis taught in El Reno previously and is teaching 8th grade US History and 7th grade Geography and is coaching.

Special Education Department: Ijeoma Popoola holds a master's degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. After serving as a paraprofessional in the middle school last year, she completed the requirements to become certified in the area of Special Education. Hanin Shawareb served as paraprofessional at Piedmont Intermediate while completing the requirements for her Spcial Education credentials.

Electives Department:

Charles Fisher, a former sports anchor for News 9, is excited to start a new career in education, teaching Computers and Exploratory.  

We welcome all of our new Middle School Wildcat staff to Piedmont Schools. We are excited about the year ahead!
